SHI International Wins 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award From Business Intelligence Group

SOMERSET, N.J. — March 24, 2026 — SHI International, one of the world’s leading technology solutions providers, has been named a winner in the 2026 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Awards in the Agentic AI category. Presented by the Business Intelligence Group, the award recognizes organizations that apply AI to drive real, measurable impact. This year’s program honored winners across 36 industries and more than 15 countries.
SHI earned recognition for a body of work over the past 12 months that moved agentic AI from concept to production across enterprise and public-sector environments through their Imagine, Experiment, Adopt, and Scale Framework. Highlights include:
- AI & Cyber Labs: A new facility in Piscataway, New Jersey, built with NVIDIA accelerated computing infrastructure, where customers can prototype, test, and validate AI use cases against their own data, workloads, and security requirements before deploying to production.
- Digital AI Ambassador platform: The SHI Digital AI Ambassador is a unified, scalable engagement platform that operationalizes AI by combining automation, personalization, action, and immersion. It transforms how people access information, complete tasks, and interact with services across web, mobile, kiosks, physical spaces, and immersive environments. By integrating advanced speech recognition, vision, agentic and generative AI, and digital ambassador rendering, it delivers consistent, human-like interactions while centralizing intelligence, governance, and orchestration to reduce friction, improve outcomes, and strengthen brand trust.
- Agentic AI smart city deployment: Working with HPE, NVIDIA, Kamiwaza, and other partners, SHI helped the Town of Vail, Colorado, become one of the first U.S. municipalities to deploy an agentic AI smart city solution. The deployment includes wildfire detection through AI-powered video analytics, an agentic AI accessibility solution that achieved federal Section 508 compliance in a single weekend — a project the town had budgeted three years and several million dollars to complete — and a digital AI civic assistant for residents and visitors.
